Not only is Shorty doing as well as the other chicks, she has become an escape artist. Everyday several times I find her outside the fence. Most times she finds her way back in, but once in awhile I have to go and pick her up and snuggle her a little. She used to snuggle back, but just like all the snuggle babies do, she now is too old for that nonsense. That’s okay, soon I will have peacock babies to snuggle and I do have 7 new turkeys to snuggle and they love to be snuggled and really lean into it. They are just babies…what do they know?
We got an unexpected day off today and quickly headed for town. There was so much to do around here that we knew if we started something here, we would never make it there. But we did and killed most of the day going here and there.
Soon I will get pictures of the garden to show off. I wish I had more ground but every time I mention it, Rick just groans. It is a lot of work getting it set up, so I understand. There is nothing better than working in the dirt with my bare hands. Beautiful fingernails I will never have, but I have great lettuce.
That’s about it. Have a great day!!!
