We were out today working on the baby chicken pen and I caught Mama with her brood. Shorty is the lightest one on the right forefront.
Miraculously, he is walking almost normally. After examining him carefully, I determined that he was walking on his tiptoes. He had some kind of problem but with exercise, his feet are almost normal. The right one is still a little tiptoe when he puts his feet down. He’s keeping up fine with the others.
The coyote came in again today and now my all white cochin rooster is gone. He wasn’t anything special and I had considered taking him to the sale and getting a couple of dollars out of him. The coyote is getting braver and braver, so hopefully it won’t be long until I get a shot at him. That will take a big worry off me.
